A Malaysian Portrait (2006)

Commissioned by the Perak Symphonic Wind Orchestra, Ipoh Malaysia with Mr. Ho Chee Kiang as Music Director.  The Portrait gently put a flavour of Gamelan group (consists of Bonang. Gombang, Kempul & Gendang etc.) together with the wind band giving a Malaysian taste in the work.  The music comprise of popular Malay folk tunes with the famous Rasa Sayang as the opening, then comes Geylang Sipaku Geylang – Burung Kakak Tua – Jong Jong Inai – Inang Cina – Joget Tari Gembira.
