Carl Maria von Weber’s Bassoon Concerto in F major, Op. 75 (1811, revised 1822) is one of the most important works in the Bassoon repertoire, second only to Mozart’s concerto. It showcases the Bassoon’s lyrical and virtuosic qualities, lasting about 18–20 minutes, and remains a cornerstone piece for performers worldwide.
